Franklin "Spanky" Smith

Franklin “Spanky” Smith, age 74, of Thompson, passed away Friday, February 2, 2024. He was born November 10, 1949 in Cleveland, the son of Al and Betty (Kramer) Smith. Frank worked as a towmotor operator for ChemMasters and was a member of Teamsters Union Local #507. He was a longtime member of the South Madison Trap League and the sons of the American Legion Post 112.  He loved helping his friends and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Darlene; step daughters, Debbie (Dominic) Magda and Dawn Wickert; grandchildren, Dominic and Dahlia Magda, Devin Wickert and Travis Sanders; uncle, Roy Kramer and cousins Sue (Robert) Freeman. A Celebration of Life will take place at 2 pm on Saturday, February 17th at American Legion Post 601, 1725 Hubbard Road in Madison.
