Frank Gibas, Sr., 86, of Madison, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving wife and family on Monday, October 27, 2008.
He was born February 2, 1922 in Kenilworth, West Virginia to Mary (Stelnar) & John Gibas and spent the early part of his life in Poland.
He married Cecilia Siudak on 10/12/1949 in Chester, West Virginia.
Mr. Gibas was a retired self-employed cabinet maker and master carpenter
His favorite pastime was building furniture for his children and grandchildren and loving and enjoying his family.
He is survived by Wife, Cecilia Gibas of Madison; Daughters, Cynthia (Chuck) Klco, Tricia (Ken) Siegel, Susan (Steve) Kahoun, Christina (Randy) Skedel; Sons, Frank (Linda) Gibas, Jr., Steven (Anna) Gibas; 17 Grandchildren, Jason & Erin Gibas, Sarah (Chris) Bonner, Elizabeth (Greg) Ferry, Zachary, Jacob, Caleb & Cecilia Siegel, Joshua, Joan, Olivia & Cal Kahoun, Abby, Megan & Daniel Gibas, Justin & Ryan Skedel; 3 Great-Grandchildren, Dylan, Ella & Addison.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Brothers, John, Joe, Walter, Adam, & Steven; Sisters, Katherine, Anna & Mary.
Friends will be received 2-4:00 pm and 6-8:00 pm Thursday, October 30, 2008, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio.
Celebration of Life will be 11:00 am Friday, October 31, 2008 at St. Cyprian Church, 4223 Middle Ridge Road, Perry, with Rev. George Kuzi officiating.
Final Resting Place will be at Perry Cemetery in Perry.
