  1. Ed McGovern was an example for me since I started at the OLC in 2001. From there, I followed his steps as Initiative leader all the way to PSDB leader. We built a good trustful relationship. Ed was colleague, coach, subject matter expert, an example to be followed, and a friend. He gave me a rotisserie for my grill as soon as he knew I’ve bought a Weber, which is working just fine and will do several more BBQs. He gave me advices on jobs, career move, and we worked together on several initiatives. The lessons I took from him are precious for me. I have had a chance of going out for a lunch with Ed at the La Estacion in Waukesha on February 22. It was just me and him. We shared pictures of family and plans for the future. He was struggling, however, I was impressed with his energy and determination. I miss him already.

  2. Miss you Ed! Always looked forward to stopping by your desk to see your smile and hear your laugh. Even during tough times, you could laugh about the madness…then go figure out how to fix it. You were always thinking of others…family, friends, and our FE's. We owe you a debt of gratitude for the knowledge you created, shared, and facilitated which continues to help improve patient care world wide. Miss you for sure. Treasure the memories and legacy that live forever.

  3. Megan, Mikaela, Sean and all of Ed’s family, I am so very sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of working with Ed for many years at GE. I always admired Ed’s tremendous knowledge and skill, he cared deeply about his work, the people he worked with, the Customers and Field Engineers he supported. But more than that, Ed had a great personality, a quick laugh and a huge smile, he was always willing to help me or anyone who needed it. He will be missed at GE, and especially by me personally. I hope in this time of sadness, you can take comfort in great memories. And I hope that can sustain you until you meet up again.

  4. Life moves on … RIP Ed. Will miss you. I Have been knowing Ed since 2002 when I started at the OLC. Had few but great interactions with him on and off. Stay blessed Ed….

  8. Dear friends and family, I want to share what a kind, dedicated, and intelligent person Ed was. We worked together at GE on many projects. Ed always took pride in what he did. He approached everything with a can do attitude! Even when things went wrong, Ed would smile and try something different. Never did he raise his voice, act rude, or disrespect anyone. I believe he left a memorable mark of kindness on everyone he met I know this is the case for me.

I wish you peace and love during this time. May you always enjoy the best of his memories.

Sincerely, MaryAnn Camacho Executive Director Quest Diagnostics
