Francis C Eckenrode

Francis C. Eckenrode, age 86 of Geneva, passed away Monday March 4, 2013. He was born January 31, 1927 in Johnstown, PA to Colletta R. (Bost) & Carl J. Eckenrode and married Dorothy Stublarec on November 4, 1972 in Johnstown, PA. He retired as a machinist from TRW. Francis was a parishioner of Assumption Catholic Church and also served as an user. He was a 3rd degree Knight of Columbus and a 2-term Grand Knight of the Geneva-Madison Council 5286. Francis currently was a Council Trustee and coordinated many charitable events through the Knights of Columbus. He loved spending holidays decorating the house with his family and could fix anything that needed attention. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Eckenrode of Geneva; sisters, Dorothy Conley of Geneva and Sharon Poje of Port Charlotte, Florida; niece, Dorothy Dolan of Geneva; nephew, Carl Ellsworth of Mentor and many other beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Donald Eckenrode. Friends will be received 5-8 PM, Thursday, March 7, 2013, at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 8, 2013, at Assumption Catholic Church, 594 West Main Street, Geneva, Ohio. Final resting place will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva.
