April 3, 1943 ~ August 17, 2024

Forrest Paul Thompson, age 81 of Madison, passed away Monday, August 5, 2024 at his home, surrounded by his family.  Paul was the North Star who led our family with unmatched generosity and a caring spirit. He was born April 3, 1943 in Bartow, WV, the son of the late Marvin and Margie (Simmons) Thompson. After graduating from Riverside High School in 1962, he married the love of his life, Florence Ellen Anders, and together they raised a wonderful family. A machinist by trade, Forrest owned and operated RT&T Machining in Mentor. He is survived by his wife Ellen; daughters, Tina (Keith) Waltz, Kimberly (Tim) Raico, Tami (Rick) Davis; son, Paul James Thompson; grandchildren, Jason, Nick, Krystal, Jozeph, Brittany, Tad, Rikki, Robbi, Forrest, and Parker; 15 great grandchildren; sister Betty Hudak. Forrest was preceded in death by his parents; brothers George and Earsel Thompson. Paul’s family will remember most his love of Ford muscle cars, witty one-liners, fishing & camping, an after dinner scoop of ice cream, and his dog Shelby. We invite friends to join us for a celebration of Paul's life on August 17, between 2-6pm at the Historic 20 Event Center, 5945 N. Ridge Rd. Madison, OH 44057. Please feel free to drop in at any time during the open house. Online Obituary and guestbook at www.behmfuneral.com
