Flo Davis

Florence R. Davis age 94, passed away December 10, 2021 at Rae-Ann Skilled Nursing Center. She was born April 24, 1927 in Bolivar, PA to John S. Garland and Carrie (Deemer) Garland and step-father Ray Provins. She married the late James R. Davis in 1946.
Flo worked as a machine operator at the Diamond Magnesium plant in Fairport during WWII. She then spent 33 years at Industrial Rayon in Painesville until it closed. Flo retired as a Nurse's Aide from Madison Healthcare after 20 years of service. Having grown up on a farm, Florence always loved the outdoors, gardening and her flowers.
She is survived by son, Larry J. (Karen) Davis; grandchildren, Larry Davis, Jr., Kristin (John) Knipp and Kevin (Bethany) Davis; great-grandchildren, Leah Davis and Jaiden Knipp, and Maximus Davis; and brother; Lawrence Gene (Noreen) Provins.
She was preceded in death by husband, James R. Davis; son, Fred Davis; her parents; sisters, Dorothy Lipps and Sandra Hansel; brothers, Bill, Paul and Harry Garland.
Friends will be received 10 am to 11 am Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison with a Service at 11 am at the funeral home. Final resting place will be at Perry Cemetery in Perry, OH.
