Fay Van Gorder

Fay Van Gorder, 79, of Thompson, passed away September 24, 2018 at Tri Point Medical Center. She was born December 1 1938 at Geneva Hospital at 11:00 P.M. to Gerrit and Ruth Van Guilik and her grandparents were Henry and Mable Jacobs and Willem and Magdelene Van Guilik. She graduated from Madison High School in 1957 and she married William C. Van Gorder on May 27, 1972, who preceded her in death in 1990. Fay was a member of Thompson United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Faith Circle and Thompson Ledge Dairymen. She enjoyed reading, needlework and knitting and was also an avid Cleveland Indians fan. Fay is survived by several close friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents and half-brother. A celebration of life service will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Thompson United Methodist Church, 6758 Madison Rd. Thompson, OH 44086.
