Evelyn Ruth Birrer

Evelyn Ruth Birrer, age 94, of Pompano Beach, Florida and a recent resident of Painesville, Ohio, passed away Thursday, October 18, at Ivy House in Painesville. She was born August 29, 1924 in Cleveland the daughter of Rebecca May (Parsons) and Arthur Edgar Slagle. She was married to the late Albert Birrer. Evelyn worked as a switchboard operator at Central Cadillac and was also a toll booth operator on the Florida turnpike. In her spare time she enjoyed baking for family and friends. She is survived by sisters, Carol Musacchio, and Joan Mooney, and many loved nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert, her parents, brothers, Howard, Fred and Donald Slagle, and sisters, Hazel Leimbach and Virginia Everett. Friends will be received from 11 am to 12 noon Tuesday October 23, 2018 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, OH 44057. Funeral Service will be held immediately following at 12 noon at the funeral home. Final Resting Place will be Concord Cemetery, Concord Township.
