Evelyn (Eby) Reed

Evelyn (Eby) Reed, age 85, of Mentor, passed away Friday, April 24, 2026. She was born April 10,1941 in Cleveland, the daughter of George and Doris (Welker) Eby. Evelyn was a popular waitress for 30 years at Bob’s Big Boy restaurant. She loved the outdoors and boating with her family. She also enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and sewing. She was a talented seamstress and loved making Halloween costumes for all of her grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Scott (Kelly) Reed and their children, Daniel and Michaela; daughter, Robin (Jeff Nelson) Knoefel and her children Taylor, Hannah and Paige; and her great grandchildren, Maya, Brooks, Cole, Evelyn and Dominic; a sister, Barbara Burd and brother Wayne (Vicki) Eby. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Reed, her infant daughter, Carol Ann and her parents. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026 from 6-8 pm at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison.
