Eugene Robbins

Eugene Robbins, age 87, of Geneva, passed away Friday, February 7, 2014 at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Twp. Born July 8, 1926 in Painesville, Ohio, he was the son of Ora and Margaret (Herroon) Robbins. Eugene married Beatrice Higginbotham on June 18, 1949 in Willoughby. Eugene was a graduate of Harvey High School and served in the U. S. Army during WWII. He worked as well as retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Favorite past-times of Eugene were going to the Madison Senior Center and playing pool with friends and family. He is survived by his three daughters, Lynn Jaeger of Geneva, Sherry (Gary) Snyder of Madison, Lori (Jim) Merrill of Perry; two sons, Mark Robbins of Geneva, Scott Robbins of Ashtabula; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and his cat Sassy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice; his parents; son, Dale; grandson, Nate; brother, Bob; and sister, Margaret. Friends will be received from 5-7p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River Street, Madison. A Memorial Service celebrating Eugene's life will follow at 7p.m. with the Rev. William Alvey officiating. Final resting place will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Painesville.
