Eugene Protzman

Eugene Protzman, age 82 of Garland, TX and formerly of Painesville, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014. Born July 22, 1932 in Columbus, OH, he was the son of Victor and Mamie Protzman. He married Rose Butterfield in 1956. Eugene was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He pastored churches in New York, Illinois, Indiana and wrote a book about the presence of the Lord in our lives. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rose Protzman; son, Douglas of Leesburg, IN; daughter, Deborah (David) Durst of Garland, TX; grandchildlren, Rachel Carlson, Renee (Mike) Cameron; Rosanna (Drew) Halgas, Matthew Protzman, Jonathan Durst, Jessica Protzman; great-grandchildren, Jacob Carlson, Destiny Cameron, Nathan Cameron, Andrew Protzman, Alyssa Protzman; sister, Marvene Pettit of Andover. He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Mamie Protzman; son, Daniel; daughter, Denise Carlson and brothers, George and Louis. Friends will be received 6-8 PM, Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 River Street, Madison, OH 44057 and 10-11 AM Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Faith Baptist Church, 2003 Narrows Rd., Perry, OH 44081. Funeral service will follow at 11 AM at the church. Final resting place will be at Perry Cemetery.
