Estabelle "Skip" White

Estabelle "Skip" White, Age 81, of Denmark Township, passed away Monday, August 11, 2008 Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. She was born May 22, 1927 in Eldon, Iowa and was contractor for White Excavating. She was the first licensed female contractor in the world in the 60?s and was the first female in the union. She was 3rd in international competition operating a back hoe. She loved gardening, hummingbirds and was an excellent cook. Loved raising horses and enjoyed watching draft horses. She is survived by Daughter, Joyce (Joseph) Post of Madison; Sons, William A White and Robert M. (Cindy) White, both of Denmark Twp.; Grandchildren, Jim, Kellie, JoAnn, Jean, June, James; Great-Grandchildren, Cheyenne & Nadia and Bryant & Preston She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard White; Son, James White and Brothers, Jim and Herman Crow Friends will be received 6-8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 14, 2008, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio. Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 15, 2008 at the funeral home. Final Resting Place will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Thompson.
