Elsie A. Commisso

Elsie A. Commisso, age 88, former Geneva resident, passed away Monday, October 5, 2009 in Terre Haute, Indiana. She was born October 12, 1920 in Grand Forks, North Dakota to Anna (Staciaholy) & Louis Abfalte. She married Arthur Commisso in Geneva, Ohio on March 15, 1968. Mrs. Commisso was a high school teacher at Geneva Area City Schools. Mrs. Commisso traveled to Europe 21 times. She enjoyed spending 6 months each in Geneva, Ohio and Florida. She is survived by her stepson, Roger Commisso of Cleveland; 2 Step Grandchildren,Gerald and Katherine; 3 Great Step Grandchildren; 2 Sisters, Jeanne Dunlap of Terre Haute, Indiana, and Margaret Wilson of Sauk Rapids, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Commisso, and her parents, Louis and Anna (Staciaholy) Abfalter. No Visitation will be observed. Memorial Service will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at Assumption Catholic Church, 594 West Main Street, Geneva, with the Rev. Melvin Rusnak of Assumption Church officiating. Final Resting Place will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Geneva.
