Elmadine Bevins

Elmadine Bevins, age 88, of Perry, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Villa at the Lake Senior Assisted Living. She was born November 15, 1935 in Grantsville, WV, the daughter of Alfred and Ollie (Shimmer) Ford. She married S. Ray Bevins on February 9, 1957 in Angola, IN.
Elmadine worked as an assistant manager at Burger King in Madison. She was an active member of the Perry First Baptist Church. She was a wonderful homemaker with traditional values and many talents which included crafting, canning, sewing, gardening and cleaning. Elmadine was a wonderful cook and enjoyed baking. She also enjoyed nature, watching the birds and the sun on her face in the spring and summer. She had a wonderful sense of humor and always enjoyed a good prank.
She is survived by her daughters, Joyce (Joseph) Birch, Patti (Glenn) Briley; sons, Barry Bevins, Tim (Christine) Bevins; grandchildren, Keith (Dana), Christopher, Zackery (Alexis), Ryan (Josey), Victoria (Santana), Kevin, Alizabeth; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronald Ford, Billy Ford, Roger (Helen) Ford, Butch (Bev) Ford; sister, Judy (David) Gaines.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Anes Ford, Avery Ford, Terry Ford; sisters, Jody Church, Mazine Wilson, Mabel Sampson, Dina Ford and Nina Dawson; granddaughter, Jennifer; infant great granddaughter, Riliegh; and daughter in law, Caryn, wife of Barry.
Friends will be received from 3-6 pm on Sunday, April 28th at Perry First Baptist Church, 3918 Main Street in Perry. A Funeral Service will be held 11 am Monday, April 29th at the church with a opportunity to visit with the family for 1 hour prior to the service. Rev. John Oleyar will officiate the service.
