Elaine Hupertz, age 75 of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield. Born on January 2, 1943 in Willoughby she was the daughter of the late George and Rita (Meyer) Buehner. She married Thomas G. Hupertz on October 19, 1968 in Eastlake. Elaine was an avid reader and enjoyed tending to the flowers in her garden. She loved to crochet afghans for children or as a special gift for a friend. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Madison. Elaines family was her life and she truly enjoyed her time spent with them. She is survived by her husband, Deacon Thomas G. Hupertz; children: Theresa (Chris) Frisbie, Thomas Hupertz, Jr., Mary (Chris) Naso, Elizabeth Hupertz (Steve Swinson), and Joseph (Kristen) Hupertz, 7 grandchildren: Ally, Evan, Anthony, Luke, Adam, Zachary, and Delilah ; sisters: Mary Ann (Ray) Mackura, Susan (Tim) Brunetz; brothers: Donald (Linda) Buehner and Paul Buehner; sister-in-laws: Cindy and Darlene Buehner. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: James and Jack Buehner and infant son: George. Friends and family will be received from 5:00 to 8:00pm on Friday, June 1, 2018 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Road, Madison, Ohio. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church. Final resting place will be at North Madison Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions in Elaines name to the Christ Child Society of the Western Reserve, 9354 Mentor Ave. #7, Mentor, OH 44060.   6. Our whole family was heartbroken to hear of Elaine's passing. She and Tommy have been part of the Frania family as long as I can remember. She was one of the sweetest and most caring people I have known. Our prayers go out to Tommy, their children and all the family and friends of Elaine. I treasure the last time I talked to her at church. I know that she is in Our Lord's loving care. Say hello to Timmy for us Elaine. We love you all.

  11. I was heartbroken to hear of Aunt Elaine's passing. As long as I can remember, and even when I can't or couldn't, she was a big part of my life. What a WONDERFUL, funny, kind and talented person she was. She was a true example of how to treat people and love. I have always cherished the blankets she knitted for me and for my family and will do so even more now. God is very lucky to have her with him now and I feel fortunate to have had her in my life.

  12. Dear Tom and family, I was saddened to hear about Elaine's passing but thankfully now she can rest in the arms of Jesus. She was a kind lady and I'm glad I got to share several conversations and laughs with her at classmates luncheons. Please know I send lots of prayers, hugs and love to you all.

  14. To all of Elaine's family, We just heard of Elaine's passing today. We want to extend our heartfelt sympathy to all. Elaine had heard that our daughter had a baby girl and one Sunday, she gave us a precious blanket that she had made. That meant so much to us and our daughter that she took the time to give that special gift. May God's tender loving care be with you all in you in your time of sorrow.
