My Uncle Ed…Too many good memories to share them all so I'll go with one of my favorites. Note: it’s a bit fuzzy as I have never been so scared in my entire life…Kelly may have been the captured one but I’ll tell it from this perspective. On a late “eerie” October evening my cousins and I were likely up to no good near the woods behind their house. Unsuspecting, we went about our mischievousness when a strange noise came from behind followed by what can only be described as the biggest ghost a child could ever imagine. Without a second look, we ran for the house screaming, except my cousins were getting further and further away and I wasn’t moving. I looked down and sure enough my legs were moving as fast as could be, but I was in the air captured by the Dave Dr. beast. To my surprise, this ghost let out the biggest laughter I had ever heard, but that didn’t stop me from shrieking all the way inside when my feet hit the ground. Now of course it’s clear that this ghost was my uncle and you might be asking yourself how is this my favorite memory. Well it’s simple, that night and every time that story was told his laughter reminded me just how much he really cared. You see, some might call my Uncle Ed tough and stoic, and yes, he was his family’s rock, but his heart was as big as that ghost. And I now get to share that story and many others with my boys. Thank you Uncle Ed for sharing your laughter, we will miss it! Your Nephew, Josh
I worked with Ed at Bud Industries, from 1990-1996. Great guy. Hard worker. So many good memories. Our prayers are with you all and your families on this loss of a good man.
