Edna Molchen, age 77, of Madison, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at UH Geneva Medical Center. She was born July 27, 1946 in Kittanning, PA the daughter of Floyd and Rhoda (Jordan) Mechling Sr. She married Richard H. Molchen Sr. on June 21, 1969.
Edna was a social butterfly and loved to be around people. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren who were the ultimate joy of her life. She had a lively spirit right up to the end.
She is survived by son, Richard (Michelle) Molchen; daughter, Eva McDaniel; grandchildren, Douglas, Zachary, Matthew, Jillian, and Jacob; great grandson, Jaylen; brother, George (Kathleen) Mechling, sister, Evelyn (Dale) Gearhart, brother, Bill (Carol) Mechling.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her parents; and brothers, Floyd “Muss” Mechling, Darrell “Rena” Mechling, and Chester Mechling.

Edna was my best friend. We talked almost every day since Rich had passed. She was a kind and caring person. We used to have a lot of fun going down to the Strip in Geneva-on-the-Lake. We both liked to dance to the 60’s music, that the band Good Question played.. I will miss her and all the fun that we had. I know she loved her family and friends dearly. I feel she is in a better place, as she went thru a lot in just a few short months. I know she will be missed by me. Sincerely, Linda Driscoll
