So sorry I can't be with you. I love you all. My condolence and sympathy for each of you. I loved her so much. I'll miss our daily phone conversations. I'm so happy we could do that instead of writing a weekly letter. You'll always be in my heart.
My Dad always described you as a pistol. Full of energy and the vibrancy of life. There was no drive too far, no time more important for her for friends and family. I remember not crying at my own father's memorial until I saw you get out of the car. You see, love had arrived and I was overwhelmed and thankful. I will carry that smile, remember that energy and be thankful that such a great person was a part of my life.
My Sister-In -Law was a gentle lady with a wonderful positive attitude. It was so great to have Jean as a part of the Family. I will always remember Jean and her hats. She always had one on when she went out. I will miss our talks on the phone and the Holiday cards Jean always sent. My thoughts and prayers are with her Family. May you rest in peace, Jean.
Sincere condolences to the extended Hedges Family for their loss. Jean was always a sweet, cheerful presence whenever we were with her. May she rest in peace with the Lord and His angels.
We are so sad about the passing of Jean, she was our neighbor and our friend. Jean had a heart of gold and a kind and caring soul. She made everyone feel special and was one of the strongest people we knew. She loved to travel to see family and friends and always had a positive attitude. Our sincere sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. We have been so blessed to have known Jean and will love and remember her forever.

Miss Jean was one of my best friends!! Always wanted to know how I was and how my family was. She is now one of those beautiful Angel's that you always shared with everyone and I have a few that I will treasure for the rest of my life. She was a kind and loving soul and now she gets to spend eternity with the love of her life George. She always made me feel like family.. For that Miss Jean I will love you forever and you will always be in my heart and in my thoughts. Thank you for visiting Geneva for years and spending your summers with me and then moving here and being my friend. You are greatly missed already. RIP my dear friend and thank you much for loving me. Love,Luanne

It is with heavy hearts that we extend our sincere sympathy. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.
Mrs. Hedges was a truly kind and loving soul who will be deeply missed. Holidays will not be the same without her cards (which arrived like clockwork!) and thoughtful notes that always made us smile. Our sincere condolences and love to the Hedges family through whom her goodness and spirit live on.
Our prayers go out to Lois, Debbie, Jeff and Karen, the grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jean was such a special lady and words can't begin to describe what she meant to our family. She will be missed, but we have our fond memories.
From the moment I met her and she said, “Come give Grandma Jean a hug”, I knew she was a special person. That embrace truly demonstrated the loving person that she was. I will miss her smile, the twinkle in her eyes and her life stories. And, whenever I hear mention of the Iditarod, I will always think of Grandma Jean and smile.
I will miss Jean's visits to Texas. She was such a good sport —- participating in all of Eleanor's activities. It was fun having her here!
We had such good visits with Jean in New Jersey when we were going to NY from Iowa. She was our r&r stop going and coming – we'll miss her Christmas letters about the family. Love to you all from Cousin Hal and Mary Ann Closson in NM.
You are in our thoughts and prayers. Jean was a wonderful person who always had a smile on her face and her spirit was contagious. She will be missed.
