Dorothy Zupcsan, Age 93 of Madison, Ohio passed away on August 16, 2017 at her home. She was born on the Debevc Family Farm on April 24, 1924 the daughter of Anton and Marjana (Germek) Debevc. Dorothy married the love of her life, Frank Zupcsan on July 5, 1947. A 1942 graduate of Madison High School, she was a lifelong member of the Immaculate Conception Church. A longstanding member of A.M.L.A. Slovenian Lodge 30, Dorothy was very proud of her Slovenian Heritage and loved to cook for her family, particularly her chicken paprikash, and her potica. There was not a holiday without her famous turkey and stuffing. She also enjoyed dancing to polkas as well as spending time riding the lawn mower. She never missed sending a birthday card to each family member. For 43 years she served as a co-leader of 4H Club Neat Little Workers. Dorothy donated over 600 hand crocheted blankets for Blankets for Babies. She enjoyed working alongside her husband managing the family nursery on Chapel Road. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Frank of 70 years; Children, Frank (Barb) Zupcsan of Madison, Marie (Mike) Barrick, of Delaware, Ohio, Kathy (Gerard) Beattie of Madison, Gloria Longenecker, of Englewood, Ohio, Joe (Rochelle) Zupcsan of Madison, Marjana (Vince) Otto of Beaver Creek, Ohio; 13 grandchildren, Andy, Mike (Andrea), Cory, Elizabeth, Gerard, Erik, Kathrine, Marjana, Jennifer (Drew), Victoria, J.R., Rebecca and Danielle; great-grandchildren Sophia and Mark. She is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Louis; brother, Tony; sisters, Antonette Debevc, her twin sister, Julie Grabelsek and Agnes Beebe; and son-in-law, Mark Longenecker. Friends will be received on Sunday August 20, 2017 from 6-8 pm at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, OH 44057. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am on Monday August 21, 2017 at the Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Road, in Madison. Final Resting Place will be Fairview Cemetery.
