Dorothy Strumbly

Dorothy Strumbly died peacefully surrounded by loved ones on September 2, 2015. She was 82. Dorothy was born on May 12, 1933 in East Cleveland, OH to her parents, Joseph and Helen Caine. She lived a happy, full life with her husband of 60 years, Ernest Strumbly, in Thompson, OH. A devoted wife and mother, Dorothy was the happiest when she was taking care of her family. She enjoyed discussing current events, chatting on the phone, commenting on the weather, and reminiscing about old times. Dorothy loved to tell a joke, but would often forget the punchline, which always ended up being funnier than the joke. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Ernest; her sons, Ernest (Jackie), and Frank; her daughter, Jennifer (Tim Uzarski); four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a vast network of friends and relatives. She is preceded in death by her parents and an infant son. Graveside Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 4, 2015 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Thompson, OH.
