Dorothy H. Witt, 88, of Geneva, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2009 in Geneva.
Born January 28, 1921 in Geneva, Ohio, to Caroline Wilhelmina (Fanslau) & John Carl Witt.
Retired as a bookkeeper from Carlisle-Allen Co. in Ashtabula
She was an active member of St. John?s Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Women?s uild. She was recently honored as the oldest surviving graduate of Spencer School at the 46th Annual Grape Jamboree. She worked at True Temper in Geneva during World War II and also at Geneva Savings and Loan for several years. She loved spending time with her family and loved nature.
She is survived by Brothers, Richard J. Witt of El Paso, Texas & Walter H. (Kathryn) Witt of Geneva; Sister-in-Law, Lillian A. Witt of Madison; Niece, Lisa A. (Gary) Schaller of Madison; Nephews, John P. Witt of Madison, Richard E. Witt of Washington, DC, Herb W. (Gina) Witt of Madison; Great Nephews, Bryant Fasula of California & Dakota Witt of Geneva.
She was preceded in death by her Parents; Brother, Edwin F. Witt; Niece, Caroline Fasula
Friends will be received 5-8:00 pm, Sunday, November 8, 2009, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio and also 10-11:00 am, Monday at the church prior to the service.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 am, Monday, November 9, 2009 at St. John?s Lutheran Church, 811 South Broadway, Geneva, Ohio with Rev. Jonathan Schroeder officiating.
Final Resting Place will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Geneva, Ohio.
