Dorothy E Troy

Dorothy E. Troy, age 87, of Geneva, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Austinburg Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born July 31, 1925 in Fairview, WV to Ida Mae (McCord) & Richard D. Tennant and married William Troy in Waynesburg, PA in 1946. Dorothy was an active member of Church of Christ in Unionville, Ohio. A full time homemaker, Dorothy loved serving God, cooking, sewing, gardening, and raising flowers. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Vernon Troy of Geneva; grandchildren, Shawn (Audra) Troy of Raleigh, NC & Jennifer (John Summers) Troy of Ashtabula; great-grandchildren: Stone, Serenity, and Parker She was preceded in death by her husband, William; sons, Donald E. & Delbert P. Troy; and her parents. That last of 14 children she was preceded in death by 9 brothers and 4 sisters. Friends will be received from 1:00 to 2:00pm on Sunday, May 26, 2013, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. Funeral Service will be at 2:00pm at the funeral home. Final Resting Place will be at Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Kingsville.
