Doris Faith Klueg, age 95, of Orwell, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025 at Eagle Point Nursing Home. She was born April 26, 1929 in New York, NY to William And Victoria (Mairtz) Hill. She married James Klueg in New York, on May 10, 1952.

Doris attended Pratt Institute in NY City where she achieved a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dietetics (Nutritional Science). She taught Home Economics at Bishop Guilfoyle High School in Altoona PA. Doris was involved with and a member of the Board for Blair Historical Society and ran the giftshop at Baker Mansion in Altoona. She also volunteered with the Gloria Gates Foundation in Altoona, PA, and was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church in Altoona.

She is survived by her sons, James (Liz) Klueg, Daniel (Kathie) Klueg; grandchildren, Ryan (Katie) Klueg, Nicolaus, Christopher (Jessica) Stapko, Natalie (Jeremy) Clark, Trevor (Leslie) Klueg, Jennifer Stapko; great grandchildren, William Taylor, Fiona, Hugo and Ivy Clark, CJ and Arabella Stapko; She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James; sisters, Matty Holdsworth, Catherine Eckle, Victoria Drilling; and her parents, William and Victoria.

A funeral service will be 11am, Saturday, March 1, 2025, at St. Anne’s in the Field Church, 5441 South Madison Road, Madison, Ohio 44057, celebrated by Father Andrew Terry. Final resting place will be in Altoona, PA at Calvary Cemetery with her husband.

    • Condolences to Dan and Kathie and rest of the family. Dan your mom lived a full life continue to cherish those amazing memories. I can see she was an amazing mom, wife. friend, community worker, volunteer, most of all she gave her life to God.

  1. So sorry for your loss. I taught with her at Guilfoyle back in the 80s. She was a kind person who was easy to talk to. She cared about her students and smiled & laughed often. I’m so glad our paths crossed! May God reward this wonderful woman! She will be in my prayers as well as your family.
