Donald Lee Jacobson, age 79, of Madison, passed away Friday, September 02, 2016 at his home. He was born March 25, 1937 in Painesville, the son of George and Alice (Kohan) Jacobson. He married Sharynne Komssi on August 20, 1966 in Hambden Township. A 1955 graduate of Madison High School, Don served in the US Army. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, farming, and building. Don worked for CE / Tyler in Mentor as well as Coe Manufacturing in Painesville. He also enjoyed traveling and the time spent with his family. Don is survived by his wife, Sharynne; daughter, Karyn Cassell; sons, Donald K. (Paula) Jacobson and Kevin S. (Rebecca Castell) Jacobson; grandsons, Justin and Thomas Cassell, Donald W. and Michael Jacobson, Braeden and Brice Jacobson; sister, Carol (Richard) Dodson; brother, David (Donna) Jacobson, and half-brother, Steve (Joann) Dakos. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends and family will be received from 5-8pm on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison. A Memorial Service will take place at 11am on Wednesday, September 7th, at the funeral home with committal to follow at Madison Memorial Cemetery on Arcola Road in Madison.
