Donald E. Jackson

Donald E. Jackson, age 86, of Perry, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at home. He was born November 4, 1928 in Lorain, Ohio to Gladys (nee Harmon) and Burt Jackson. Donald married Frances A. Burckhard in Aberdeen, South Dakota on September 16, 1950. Donald served in the US Army Air Corps. He was a member of Teamsters Local 293 while working at Amster Beverage in Cleveland and later, JDS Distributors. Don enjoyed bowling and was a huge NASCAR fan. He and his wife are members of St. Cyprian Church in Perry. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Frances; son, Donald (Susan) of Perry; daughters, Debra Kapostasy of Barnard, SD and Denise (Michael) Derk of OH; grandchildren, Melanie, Jason, Lori, Nicole, Sarah; and great-grandchildren, Kadin, Steven, Raymond Arthur, and Gabby. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Pat Ruks; and brothers, Carl, Larry, and Ralph Jackson. A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2015 at Perry Cemetery on Center Street in Perry. A Memorial Mass for Donald will be held at a later date at St. Cyprian Church in Perry. Arrangements are being handled by The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, OH 44057.
