Donald Block

Donald Block, age 79, of Geneva, Ohio passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at UH Geneva Medical Center. He was born June 9, 1937 in Geneva to Art Elliott and Charlotte Thompson. He married Patricia Roberts in Albion, PA on April 7, 1971. Donald enjoyed antiquing and refinishing them, giving them new life. He especially liked selling them at Nuberts Auctions. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patricia; children, Robert Phillips, Cindy Bradley, Sandy (Ron) Vanek; grandchildren, Robert Phillps III, Travis Phillips, Sabrina (Jason) Tinney, Thomas, Amanda, and Jeremiah McLean, Erica (Eric) Hudson, Ronald Vanek; great-grandchildren, Noah McLean, Leann and Jacob Tinney, Merrick, Kelsey and Luke Phillips; sisters, Judy Shaffer, Kay Pohl, Geri Whitmore; brothers, Billy, Richard, and Jimmy Thompson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, who raised him, Max Otto and Augusta Block; sister, Sandra Champlain; and brother, Louis Elliot. Friends will be received 12 1 p.m., Saturday, February 25, 2017 at The Behm Family Funeral Home 175 South Broadway, Geneva, OH 44041 with a Memorial Service to immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
