Don was a smart businessman, a man who truly did all he could to the best of his ability to serve Christ. Don was President at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Madison in the late 80's and early 90's. Thanks to Don's leadership, along with many devoted church members, the church was put on sold ground financially, and built and paid for a large addition in full. Don was hands on in all areas including construction, putting it in the best position perhaps ever in it's history. It was Don who helped show me how good marriage could be by his example with his late wife, Bonnie, three children Don Jr., Mathew and Beth Ann. Without his influence behind the scenes, I am sure in many ways, I would not have met my wife, Karen Radtke. Don was truly a pivotal part of in my life. I know God put him in my life for a reason. Don was Passionate for the Lord. Thank you Don for all you did for me and for so many others. Karen and I love you. We are comforted knowing you are rejoicing in person with Christ. Harlan Hoyt
It was always a pleasure to talk to Don and share a laugh or two. If one was in need he was always there to lend a hand. God speed, Don. Kent Caserta

Rachel, Lydia, Ben, and Family, We are thinking of you. Don will be missed! You are in our thoughts and prayers. Hugs…
Don was always up for sharing his time and fix-it knowledge. His fix-it knowledge was vast. He could do carpentry, electrical work, car repairs, plumbing, everything. I got rear-ended once and the bumper fell off. Don offered to do the labor for replacing the part. We worked on it together (actually, I was the go-fer) and it ended up better than new. Thanks Don, for all your help and time you gave over the years!
I will miss my friend and our talks about business and life. He was very proud of his family.
Heartfelt condolences to the Schley family. We, on the West Coast, grieve along with you. Mrs. Sam Reynard.
