Don Hobbins

Don Hobbins, Age 76, Resident of Perry, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009 University Hospitals of Cleveland in Cleveland, Ohio. Born July 19, 1933 in Warren, Ohio, to Margaret (Lowry) & Raymond Hobbins and married Analee Shearer on 6/14/1958. He was a graduate of Champion High School and was a Navy Veteran serving during in the Korean Conflict. He was an active member of Perry United Methodist Church. Worked at Diamond Shamrock until 1986 when he left to co-found Instrumentation Technologies, Inc. retiring in 2000. Don loved music and enjoyed playing with Madison Jazz Project and the Concord Community Band. He looked forward to his annual fishing trip to Canada with the Walleye Whippers. Don enjoyed camping with his family. He was a wonderful caring husband and loving father and grandfather. He is survived by Wife, Analee Hobbins of Perry; Children, Debbie (Brad) Ashburn of Leroy, Dennis (Marsha) Hobbins of Huntsville, Alabama, Sandra (David) Strach of Geneva & Karen Kaminski of Chardon; 7 Grandchildren and Sister, Beverly (Paul) Low of Richfield. He was preceded in death by his Parents Friends will be received 2-4:00 & 7-9:00 pm, Friday, September 25, 2009, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio. Funeral Service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the Perry United Methodist Church, 3875 Main Street, Perry, Ohio, with Pastor Keith Mostad officiating.
