Dennis M. Quayle

dennis quayle

October 14, 1967 ~ April 1, 2016

Dennis M. Quayle, 48, of Madison, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 1st, 2016 in his home. Dennis was born October 14th, 1967 in Painesville, Ohio to Perry L. and Phyllis J. Quayle (Peterson). He spent his childhood working on the Quayle Family Farm where he developed a love for Agriculture which he showcased in 4-H by raising and showing Sheep at the Lake County Fair. He graduated from Madison High School in 1986 and attended Wilmington College. After college, he volunteered in the Peace Corps, his proudest accomplishment (see picture). He traveled to Central African Republic to help teach local villagers how to plant and harvest crops. He was a lifelong fan of all Ohio sports and you'd likely catch him in Browns, Cavs, Indians or Ohio State clothing. If you had the pleasure to know Dennis, you would immediately recognize his great sense of humor and ability to tell hilarious stories; for example, "cruisin' chicks and sucking face" at Geneva on the Lake. He enjoyed fantasy football and gambling trips to Las Vegas. Dennis was also affectionately known as "Uncle Neno" or "Jingle #9." He always found the positive in every situation, even when battling Muscular Dystrophy, and never once complained. In his later years he returned to Madison, living with his Mother at the Quayle Family Farm and helped take care of her before her passing in early 2012. He will be missed dearly by: Brothers - Charles (Susan), John (Gail Hopkins), and Mark (Pat), Sister Sarah (John) Sample, and Childhood Friend Dan Snyder; Nieces & Nephews Tanya Underwood , Dustin (Jenny) Sample, Matthew (Lee) Sample, Scott (Kelly) Quayle, Dan Quayle, Mark Quayle, Perry Quayle, Katelyn Quayle; Great-Nieces & Nephews Kayla, Noah, Aidan, and Emmet Sample; Cooper and Carson Quayle; Morgan Underwood. He will be reuniting with his Father (Perry), Mother (Phyllis) Brothers (Phillip and Bruce) and Nephew (Benjamin). Services will be held at Behm Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016. Calling hours will be from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. In honor of Dennis, please wear your favorite Ohio sports team apparel to his service, he wasn't a suit and tie kind of guy.
