Dennis M. Dwyer Sr.

Dennis M. Dwyer, Sr., 68, longtime resident of Thompson, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at University Hospital- Cleveland. He was born on December 28, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio to Robert J. and Julia Dwyer. Dennis graduated from Thompson High School Class of 1965. He was a United States Marines Veteran and served in Vietnam. He married the love of his life, Sharon A. Wargelin on September 12, 1970 in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, where they were members. Dennis retired from Edmonds Elevator in 2010 and loved carpentry, gardening and working around his home. His world revolved around his family and friends whom he loved dearly. Mr. Dwyer is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Sharon Dwyer; children, Jennifer St. John of Columbus, Brandon (Meggan) Dwyer of Thompson and Joseph (Leah) Dwyer of Broadview Heights; brothers, Robert Dwyer, Patrick Dwyer and James (Janet) Dwyer all of Thompson; sisters, Judy Dwyer of Virginia Beach, VA, Jean (Joe Krawczyk) Dwyer of Haddon Heights, NJ and Maureen (Bruce) Dutcher of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Danielle, Peyton and Garrett St. John, Avery, Kendall and Cooper Dwyer and Michael Dwyer; niece, Samantha Dutcher; and a nephew, James Dwyer. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Dennis Michael Dwyer, Jr.; and a nephew, Brian Dutcher. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M., Monday, January 5, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2846 Hubbard Rd., Madison. A memorial luncheon will immediatly follow services at the church hall. Family will receive friends at THE BEHM FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 26 RIVER ST., MADISON, on Sunday, January 4, 2015 from 2-5 P.M.
