Denise Wight

Denise Wight, beloved mother, sister, grandmother and aunt, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2024 at the age of 70. Denise was born on September 13, 1953 in Euclid, Ohio to Lawrence Wight and Shirley Mckay. Denise had two sons: Chad Proud and Matthew Proud. Family meant everything to Denise, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. Denise had a passion for animals. She never met a stray that she thought she couldn't help. Her two dogs, Chopper and Pugsley, had a special place in her heart. Denise was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Shirley and her son, Chad. She is survived by her loving son, Matthew (Michelle) Proud; her adoring grandchildren, Ashley, Madison, Alyssa, and Everett; her dear brother, Raymond Wight; niece and nephew, Lora (Jess) Harbison and Jason Wight; and many other friends and loved ones. A celebration of Denise's life will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lake County Animal Shelter, reflecting Denise's passion for animals. Denise's legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
