Deloid Bayless
June 23, 1943 ~ December 30, 2017
Deloid Dee Bayless passed away at home, peacefully, surrounded by his wife and four daughters. He was born June 23, 1943 in Comfort, West Virginia to Hubert and Ivory (Woodrum) Bayless. A 1961 graduate of Sherman High School, he came to Ohio in 1962 and was employed at IRC Fibers in Painesville 10 years, RMI Metals for 20 years, and Venture Corp in Conneaut for 10 years.
Dee was a veteran of the US Army 1966-1968 Special Forces Vietnam Specialist E4 for Tiet offensive. 25th Infinity attached to 2nd field force. Medals received during this time: National Defense Service, Vietnam Service with 4 Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Ribbon with Device, Sharpshooter Badge with Rifle Bar, M60 Machine Gun, and Pistol.
December 1977 he married his wife Sandy and together raised her four daughters. He was a wonderful husband and father plus a proud papa to his seven grandchildren, all who thought the world of him. He was known for his quick wit, optimism and love for his family. He loved to cook especially the holiday meals when all the family came in. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed his quiet time in the woods.
Dee is survived by his wife Sandy Bayless; daughters, Cheri (Nestor) Angulo, Pam (Tom) Brumagin, Karen Kaydo, Kathy (Bob) Rosebrugh; grandchildren, Mark, Mike and Kim Brumagin, Brian, Brooke and Brianna Kaydo, Christopher Williams; brother, Buster Bayless. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Norwood, Leo, Roy, Jack; sisters Reda and Alzena.
Friends may call 4-8pm Wed. January 3, 2018 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St. Madison OH 44057. Funeral service will be 11am Thurs. January 4, 2018, celebrated by Pastor Rich Boll, at the funeral home. Final resting place will be Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Geneva.

Sandy, Dee was an amazing Man and we are Blessed to have known him and will be deeply missed. He was always an enjoyment to be with at our Family gatherings and to hear his stories and we miss him dearly. Hi Sandy, Jerry and I send you our deepest condolences. Dee was a very cool guy. I know Jerry loved talking to him at family picnics. He was very interesting and fun to talk to. He will be missed. God has a special angel.
