Della M. Laing

Della M. Laing, age 80, of Madison, passed away Monday, September 2, 2013, at home surrounded by her family. She was born April 5, 1933 in Painesville, OH to Madge (Wolff) & Faye Poxon and married Jack Laing on June 11, 1953. Della was a 1952 graduate of Painesville Harvey High School and a member of the First Baptist Church in Jefferson, OH. She enjoyed quilting and visiting with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Rebecca (Glenn) Montz of Madison, Douglas Laing of St. Petersburg, FL, Susan (Terry) Dunay of Concord, OH, Keith (Tina) Laing of Madison, & Jack Laing of Madison; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and sister, Dorothy (Bernie) Gelfand of Toronto, Canada. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Laing; parents; and brother, Sam Poxon. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, September 7, 2013 at Perry First Baptist Church, 3918 Main St., Perry, OH 44081. Pastor Michael Cole will be officiating. Final Resting Place will be at Perry Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio, 44110-2602.
