Debra Medved-Schlegel

Debra Medved-Schlegel, age 68, of Madison, passed away Monday, May 17, 2021 at Austinburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 19, 1953 in Cleveland the daughter of Richard and Betty (Evans) Schlegel.
Debbie retired in 2010 from teaching at Lake Geauga United Head Start after 15 years of service. She enjoyed bowling, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Missy (Dave) Harton, Jimmy, Lori and Shelly Medved; grandchildren, Alexis Medved, Nickolas and Trinity Tischer; Zaharah Ash, Dave Harton Jr and Kara Harton; siblings, Gayle Brothers, Lynda Vance and Janet Cavannaugh. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael “Mike” Medved and her parents.
Friends will be received 5-7 pm, Friday, May 21, 2021 at Behm Family Funeral Home 26 River Street in Madison with a service immediately following at 7 pm officiated by Pastor Chuck Harton. Guests are required to follow current pandemic guidelines, wear masks and practice social distancing.
