Deann Rose Allds

Deann Rose Allds, age 86, of Madison, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Saybrook Landing Nursing Home surrounded by loved ones. She was born May 11, 1938 in Cleveland, the daughter of George and Elaine (Baker) Kirschstein. She married Charles A. Allds on April 6, 1963 in Chicago. Charles passed away on January 3, 2023. There will be a combined memorial service for both Deann and Chuck.
Deann worked as a bank teller for over 25 years. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Louis) Hale; son, Kenneth (Janice Hale) Allds; 4 grandchildren, Brandi (Buddy) Bailey, Parker Hale, Kelly Allds and Kalin Allds; great-grandson, Hayden Hale; and great- granddaughter, Madelyn Bailey.
She was preceded in death by Charles, her husband of 59 years; her parents; George and Elaine Kirschstein; and several aunts; uncles and cousins.
Friends will be received to honor both Deann and Chuck from 10 am to 11 am on Saturday, August, 24th, 2024 at Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison, with a service to follow at 11 am. Final Resting place will be at Madison Memorial Cemetery on Arcola Road.

I was so sorry to hear about Deann’s passing. Though we haven’t seen each other in years, I have fond memories of her in our younger years when we visited Ohio, and in NY. Condolences to the family, the NY cousins will be thinking of you and sending 🙏.
I feel honored that I had the opportunity to get to know Deann and spend great times with her during my visits. She was a woman of faith and dearly loved. She was a bright light in this world, and her absence will be felt by many. May our Heavenly Father God comfort her family and give them peace.
