David J. Larko

David J. Larko, age 65, of Austinburg, Ohio, passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Austinburg Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was born April 5, 1948 in Geneva, Ohio to Jessie Alice (Card) & Joseph Victor Larko. A 1966 graduate of Madison High School, David served proudly in the US Navy. He had worked as a machine operator at Rolled Form and then later at the Wire Shop in Mentor. A talented artist and sculptor, he had an affinity for Marilyn Monroe and a passion for hot rods. David is survived by his sisters, Marian Peters of Indian Trail, NC and Victoria Ferguson of Charleston, SC. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 175 South Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Assumption Catholic Church, 594 West Main Street in Geneva. Final resting place will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Geneva. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's name to the Huntington's Disease Society of America, 505 Eighth Avenue Suite 902 New York, NY 10018.
