David A. Findley

David A. Findley, age 84, of North Ridgeville, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Ames Family Hospice House. He was born April 6, 1939 in Nanty-Glo, PA, the son of Clarence and Esther (Clark) Findley. He married Eleanor McCullough on June 17, 1960. A 1957 graduate of Blacklick High School in Pennsylvania, David went on the receive his Bachelors Degree from Lake Erie College in 1985. In High School he was active in the Boy Scouts and 4-H. Growing up on the family farm, a hard worker, he always believed you reep what you sow. David served in the National Guard. He then worked as the District Manager for East Ohio Gas Company for over 34 years and after retirement he and his wife enjoyed travelling with their friends in the Gold Wing Motorcycle Group Chapter Z. He was an active member of the Perry United Methodist Church and spent as much time as he could out on the golf course. He is survived by his daughters, Lynn Ann Findley Smith and Elaine (Michael) Freeman; grandchildren, Diana, Alex, Hannah, Hayden, Holden and Hunter; sister, Ruth (Jim) Dyson. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Eleanor; his parents; son-in-law, Roger Smith; brother, Clarence Findley and sisters, Arlene Findley and Joan Goodrich. Friends will be received 11 am, Monday, December 11, 2023 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison with a Service to follow at 12 Noon. Final Resting Place will be Perry Cemetery.
