David A Eckendorf

David A. Eckendorf, 67, of Madison, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Tri-Pointe Medical Center. He was born May 19, 1951, in Erie, PA, to Raymond O. and Elaine (McIntire) Eckendorf. Dave enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a Chaplain Assistant while stationed in Karlsruhle, Germany. Dave earned the National Defense Service Medal and was a Sharpshooter. He later became a truck driver and traveled all over America and parts of Canada. He is survived by his close and best friends, Tracey L. (Yale) Carpenter, Peggy Britton, Pat Gerrad, Pastor Mark (Kay) Shearer, and Brian Gilson. Dave is preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call 1-2pm, Sunday, September 23, 2018, at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison, OH 44057. A Funeral service will follow at 2pm, celebrated by Pastor Mark Shearer, at the funeral home.
