Dave "Pa" Drzik Sr
January 14, 1939 ~ February 5, 2014
Dave "Pa" Drzik, Sr., age 75, of Madison passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at his home. He was born January 14, 1939 in Painesville the son of Steve and Elsie (Fabec) Drzik. Dave married Jane Hickok in Madison on August 10, 1963 at Immaculate Conception Church. He served for 4 years in the U. S. Navy, stationed in Antarctica.
Dave's life was one of selfless devotion to everything and everyone he touched. Whether it was serving the Friday Night Fish and Pasta Dinners at Immaculate Conception Church, the pre-game meals for the Madison High School Football Team or just being a smiling face and a friendly greeting at the East End YMCA where he served as a board member. Dave's passion for his grandchildren was evident to anyone who ever met him, never missing a game, practice, or event for any of his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Jane Drzik of Madison; his son David (Leigh) Drzik Jr. of Madison; daughter Christine (Tony) DiLillo of Madison; 4 grandchildren: Nicholas and Ashley DiLillo as well as Hunter and Hayden Drzik; 3 brothers: Steve (Aline), Dan (Pat), and John (Sherrie) Drzik.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 4:00pm on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00am on Monday, February 10, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Road in Madison.
A private burial at North Madison Cemetery will be held at a later date.
