Dalana M. Oplinger

Dalana M. Oplinger, Age 48, of Jefferson, Ohio, was called home to be with her Lord on Friday, May 20, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. She passed away at home embraced by her loving family. Born July 7, 1962 in Ashtabula she married Charles Oplinger on January 29, 2000 in Geneva. Dalana had worked for the past 13 years as a LPN and also as a secretary for several years. Her interests included flower gardening, reading, quilting and crafting. She was a lifelong learner and loved new challenges. She had been active in Cub Scouting with her son and was a member of the Geneva First United Methodist Church. Dalana was a very loving and caring young lady and she will be sadly missed by all who knew her. It is, however, with great joy that we celebrate her triumphant entry into her eternal home. Oplinger of Jefferson; Son, Greg Meeks of Cleveland, OH; Mother, Shirley Irons of Jefferson; Father, Tony Muto of Ashtabula; Sisters, Toni (Arnold) Robinson of Saybrook, Claire Carkhuff of Jefferson; Brother, Anthony Muto of Saybrook; Paternal Grandmother, Sophie Muto of Geneva; Stepchildren, Eric Oplinger of Geneva, Lesley (Tim) Woodruff of Ft. Leavenworth, KS; 4 Step-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Maternal Grandparents, Isabel & Clarence Irons; Paternal Grandfather, Robert Muto Friends will be received 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM, Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at The Behm Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 175 S. Broadway, Geneva, Ohio. Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Geneva First United Methodist Church, 89 South Broadway, Geneva. Rev. David Hill will be officiating.
