Cora Elliott

Cora G. Elliott, age 89, of Wilmington, NC, formerly of Perry, died January 26, 2010 in Wilmington. Born February 18, 1920, In Geneva, she was the daughter of Goldie & Irvin Goldsmith. She married Arthur James ?Ike? Elliott in 1940. Cora was a 1938 graduate of Perry High School and worked as a secretary for several years at Euclid Electric Company in Madison. She was a member of Perry United Methodist Church from 1930 to 1976, when she moved to Wilmington. She was active in the music ministry and financial recordkeeping at the Pine Valley united Methodist Church in Wilmington. She loved gardening, sewing, traveling and keeping in touch with her friends. Survivors are her daughter, Martha Saatjian of Santa Barbara, CA; son, Arthur H. Elliott of Jefferson, OH; 5 grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur in 1988; daughter, Mildred Edwards in 1991 and Sister, Pauline Kelsey in 2004. A memorial service was held in Wilmington on January 30, 2010, at the Pine Valley United Methodist Church. Private burial took place at Perry Cemetery.
