Clyde E. Freshour
March 30, 1919 ~ April 28, 2007
Clyde E. Freshour age 88, a resident of Madison Formerly from Wickliffe, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2007 at his residence.
Born March 30, 1919 in LaRue, Ohio to Mable (Lewis) & Jacob Freshour.
He married Catherine (Pavlacich) on January 5, 1946 in Niles, Ohio.
Worked as a machinist for Eaton Axle Corporation in Cleveland, Ohio.
Mr. Freshour served in the Army in WWII as a Demolition Expert. He was a Sargent in the 815th Aviation Engineer Battalion, Served in Algeria ? French Morocco, Tunisia, Sicily, Naples, and Rome. He earned a Silver Star and seven Bronze Stars. Member of the LaRue VFW in LaRue, Ohio. Clyde was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting, gardening and loved volunteering as a coach for midget football in Wickliffe and he also loved spending time with his grandsons.
He is survived by his Wife Catherine Freshour of Madison; Son Mark (Kathie) Freshour of Madison; Grandsons Jacob & Luke Freshour of Madison; Sisters Jean LeVeck of Marion & Maxine Owen of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jacob & Mable Freshour, Son John Freshour, Brother Boyd Freshour and Sisters Margaret Brant, Lucille Coleman & Beulah Stelmaszcwski.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 on Thursday, May 3rd at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio 44057
Graveside Services will be held 1:00 pm Monday, May 7th at LaRue Cemetery in LaRue, Ohio.
