Cheryl A. Baker

Cheryl A. Baker, age 73 of Madison, OH went to be with the Lord on June 27th, 2026 at Tripoint Hospital surrounded by her loving friends. Born on October 7, 1952 in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, the daughter of Donald and Mildred Baker, Sr.

After graduating from Clearwater Christian College, Cheryl went on to teach 2nd and 6th grade at Mentor Christian School for 38 years. She also recently worked at North Madison Elementary and the Madison YMCA in afterschool care. She spent many years at the Mentor on the Lake Dairy Queen.

Cheryl was known for her loving heart and kindness. She was always willing to help when the need was there, be it church, mission trips or family.

She is survived by her nephews, Jake Baker and Christopher Kerr; her cousins, Lynn Axten, Jeff (Nadine) Ivey, Matt (Chrissy) Ivey and Christopher Korn.

She is especially loved by the Suydam, Johnson and Bailey families. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Donald Baker Jr.

A Memorial Service will be held on July 14, 2026 at 5:30 pm at Bible Community Church, 8600 Lake Shore Blvd, Mentor, OHIO 44060. Pastor Denny Hoynes will officiate. Interment will be at Mentor Cemetery. The family would also like to express our sincere thanks to the 4th floor of Tripoint Hospital and Reserve Care Hospice for their care of Cheryl. It was greatly appreciated.
