Charles S. Orogvany

Charles S. Orogvany, age 64, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at home while surrounded by his family. He was born December 13, 1950 in Cleveland, Ohio to Majean (Hart) and Stephen Orogvany. Charles married Aimee Lisa Sickler in Fulton, New York on June 13, 1981.
Chuck graduated from North Hunterdon HS in New Jersey and studied engineering at RPI. He was a nuclear engineer at the Perry Nuclear Plant. He worked with Boy Scout Troop 157 for many years and was a member of Chapel United Methodist Church. He was an avid photographer who loved camping and connecting with nature which was calming. Chuck would choose destinations specifically where cell phones wouldn't work. He was active in Cholangiocarcinoma Cancer research and awareness. His dedication to reaching out and supporting others afflicted with this disease helped him deal with it himself.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Aimee, children, Christopher Orogvany, Samantha (A.J. Charpentier) Orogvany, Jeremy Orogvany; sisters, Kate Kalohelani, Anne Swinney, Mary (Farrell) Gallagher; mother-in-law, Rosemary Sickler; brother-in-law, Toby Sickler; sister-in-law, Karla (Bob Howe) Dimico and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends will be received 2 - 4 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, Ohio with a Funeral Service following at 4:00 p.m. Rev. William Alvey will be officiating.
