Charles K. Hughes

Charles K. Hughes, Sr. Age 78, of Madison, Ohio, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2008 University Hospitals of Cleveland in Cleveland, OH. He was born July 1, 1930 in Jane Lew, West Virginia, to Buleah (Snyder) & Carlton Matthew Hughes and married Frankie Rhodes in West Virginia on 12/27/1953. He was a Superintendent of Maintenance for Madison School District until 1972. Retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years and served in Korea. Was a member of American Legion Post 601and VFW Post 8548. He had a passion for working in his yard. He is survived by Wife: Frankie Hughes of Madison; 2 Sons, Chuck (Beth) Hughes of Madison and Frank Hughes of Lakewood, OH; 8 Grandchildren; 4 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Sister, Carlene Hughes of San Antonio, TX; 3 Brothers,John Hughes, Dave Hughes of WV and Mike Hughes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buleah and Carlton Hughes and his brother, Bill Hughes Graveside Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2008 at Fairview Cemetery, 325 River Street, Madison, Ohio.
