Charles E. Hauser

Charles E. Hauser, 81 of Perry went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 22, 2012. He passed away at University Hospital of Geneva after a long illness. He was born on May 6, 1931 in Flemington, W. VA and moved to Ohio in 1952. He married his sweetheart, Joanne Stewart, in that same year. They were married 60 years. Charles worked at Uniroyal for 34 years prior to his retirement. During that time he also built six homes including his own, where he lived for 50 years. He loved woodworking, remodeled numerous homes and made countless pieces of furniture for his entire family. He was an avid Indians fan but more than anything he loved spending time with his family and telling stories of his many childhood adventures that kept his guardian angel very busy. He attended Painesville Assembly of God for 60 years and his relationship with Jesus was a vital part of everything he did.
Charles is survived by his Wife, Joanne Hauser of Perry; three Children, Rhonda (Kevin) Garland of Madison; Diann (Gary) Lepard of Champion and Amy (Mike) Strawbridge of Perry; five Grandchildren, Scott, Jennifer, Jason, Carrie and Alexandra; eight Great-Grandchildren; five sisters,Betty, Lu, Sarah, Rita and Phyllis; two brothers,Bud (Virgil) and Ronnie.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Virgil and Hallie Hauser; one brother, Phillip and three sisters, Dorthea, Norma and Joanne.
Friends will be received 5-8:00 pm on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison, Ohio and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Painesville Assembly of God, 10949 Johnny Cake Ridge Road, Painesville, Ohio.
Final Resting Place will be at Perry Cemetery.
