Charles "Chuck" Jean Cummings

January 2, 1947 ~ January 25, 2024
Charles "Chuck" Jean Cummings, age 77, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 2, 1947 in Cleveland, to J. Francis and Virginia (Cardona) Cummings. He married Helene Vohnout January 3, 1970.
Chuck served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a time clock repairman for Cincinnati Time. And after retirement, enjoyed driving school bus for Perry School System. He was a faithful man of God. His beloved hobbies include: praising God while having family fun, holding regular celebrations of life, such as rounding up the grand kids for a shopping spree at the dollar store. “Chuckhere” loves playing his “geetar” to praise God whilst driving down the road (yes, while driving!), playing golf, tennis, cross-country road trips with a junky car just to add excitement. He was an amazing husband, father, grandpa, brother, friend and son. His celebration of life on Earth has ended, however, it now continues happily for him in heaven, where he is reunited with his parents, some good friends, and a grandchild who will be sure to keep his constant play afresh while he is LIVIN THE DREAM.
He is survived by his wife, Helene, of 54 years; children, Christopher (Patty) Cummings, Jennifer (Sean) Cooney, Jonathan (Molly) Cummings, Jessica “Kanto” (Brad) McPherson; grandchildren, Caleb, Alexandra, Nate, Keenan, Vienna, Finn, Will, Brandon, Stone, Flint, and Daisy; sisters, Marie (Tom) Gibbons, Michele Cummings, Colette (Dan) Ackroyd; brother, Frank Cummings. He was preceded in death by his grandchild Isla-Grace, and parents.
Friends will be received 4-7pm, Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison. A Funeral Mass will be 11am, Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Immaculate Conception Church, 2846 Hubbard Rd. Chuck’s final resting Place will be Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
