Cecilia Gibas

Cecilia Gibas, age 87 of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, August 07, 2018 at the Lantern in Madison. Born November 14, 1930 in Chester, WV she was the daughter of the late Walter and Katherine (Kurish) Siudak. She married Frank Gibas, Sr. in Chester, WV on October 12, 1949. Cecilia graduated from Wellsville High School. She worked as a Retail Credit Manager at the Joseph Horne Department Store. Besides providing for her family, Cecilia was a loving wife to Frank for 59 years. She was a devoted mother and homemaker who lived for the Lord and her family. She is survived by her sons: Frank (Linda) Gibas, Jr. and Steven (Anna) Gibas; daughters: Cindy (Chuck) Klco, Tricia (Ken) Siegel, Sue (Steve) Kahoun, and Christina (Randy) Skedel; grandchildren: Jason (Kelly), Erin (Christopher), Abby, Megan, Daniel, Sarah (Chris), Elizabeth (Greg), Zachary (Jessica), Jacob (Nikki), Caleb (Aly), Cecilia, Joshua, Joan, Olivia, Cal, Justin, Ryan, Katelyn; great-grandchildren: Christopher Jr., Franklin, Jack, Adeline, Emilia, Ella, Addison, Vincent, Dylan, Riley. She was preceded in death by her husband: Frank Sr.; her parents; brothers: Joseph, Stanley and Michael Siudak; sisters: Mary Kazora and Helen Whitley. Friends and family will be received from 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the Behm Family Funeral Homes, 26 River Street in Madison. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018 at St. Cyprians Catholic Church, 4223 Middle Ridge Road, Perry, OH. Fr. George Kusy will officiate the service.
