Cecil H. Moran

Cecil “Bud” H. Moran, age 85 of Madison, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 in Cleveland. He was born September 24, 1935 in Montcalm, West Virginia to Hester L. (Halsey) and Cecil H. Moran, Sr. On September 14th, 1990, Cecil married the love of his life, Theresa Ann Bednar in Willowick, Ohio.
Cecil was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and in the service, he was a member of the military police and boxed in the Golden Glove Tournaments. He was a 6th degree Black Belt in Isshinryu (a form of Karate), and owned his own karate studio. Cecil was an active member of the VFW and the Eagles Club, and he was the President of the local union 4033 of the United Steel Workers of America. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards, working out, and he looked forward to long hikes in the woods with his wife.
Cecil is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Theresa; his children, Cindy (Randy) Rourke, Dale (Judy) Moran; his siblings, Jean Bailey (Charles) Brumfield, Ron Moran, Diane (Rodney) Topping; and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil H. Moran and Hester Halsey Moran Strunk; stepfather, Alvin Strunk; siblings, Darrell Moran, Greta Paynter, Harold (Chuck) Moran, Connie Hale, Bobby Moran, Mike Strunk; and brother-in-law, Robert Bailey.
