Catherine Pearl Booth Leaverton Keilholtz, age 93, of Geneva passed away Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017 at Geneva Village Retirement Center with her family at her side. Born April 6, 1924 in Painesville, she was the daughter of Cecelia (Czerr) and Russell Booth.
Catherine grew up in Painesville. She worked as a secretary at Walnut St. Middle School and also at Lakeland Community College. She met her husband Wayson at the old Painesville Telegraph newspaper. Catherine was one remarkable lady. She was always a part of her kids lives and a very supportive member of the local PTA in Painesville as well as the Harvey High Band Boosters.
She is survived by her children, Wayson (Carol) Leaverton, Randy (Nancy) Leaverton, Douglas (Lynne) Leaverton, Kaylee Ann (Joseph) Spancic; 11 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; brothers, Edwin (Joann) Booth, William Booth and Robert (Laurie) Booth. Catherine is preceded in death by her first husband, Wayson C. Leaverton; second husband, William Keilholtz, 6 brothers and 1 sister.
Friends will be received from 4-5pm Wed. Sept. 20, 2017 at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street, Madison, OH 44057. A Funeral Service will be held immediately following at 5pm at the funeral home. Pastor Rick Kennison will officiate. Final Resting Place will be Alexander Harper Cemetery in Unionville.
